Kenneth Buczynski, MD, is a board-certified family physician and the founder of Wellspring Family Medicine. Dr. Buczynski provides comprehensive care for the whole family at Wellspring’s Christ-centered medical offices in Oakland and Accident, Maryland.
Dr. Buczynski completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he was also a member of the school’s bowl-winning football team. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
After finishing his residency training with Via Christi Family Medicine Residency in Wichita, Kansas, sponsored by the University of Kansas, he embraced his calling to become a rural doctor and meet the needs of underserved areas. Dr. Buczynski began his career by practicing family medicine and obstetrics in Garrett County, Maryland, and the surrounding areas in West Virginia.
Dr. Buczynski is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and holds medical licenses in both Maryland and West Virginia. He is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Christian Medical and Dental Associations, and MedChi, the Maryland State Medical Society.
Dr. Buczynski’s guiding principle is that each person is created unique and beautiful before God, and that we are to serve all medical needs with humility and respect. He lives in Oakland with his wife, Becky, and their four children.
